Production process

It is usually made by combining alkali-free and untwisted glass fibers into roving yarns, warping them, impregnating them with polyester resin or epoxy resin, and then forming them through a continuous drawing process and curing them by heating.

Characteristics

Lightweight and high strength: Its density is only about 1/4 of that of steel, and its specific gravity is approximately 1.8. However, its tensile strength can reach 150-300 mpa, and its flexural strength is 200-300 mpa. Its strength is comparable to that of steel, and it has a low deformation rate, ensuring stable construction of structures.

Corrosion resistance: Made of a combination of glass fiber and resin, it has extremely high corrosion resistance, does not rust, mold or decay, and can withstand the corrosion of various gaseous and liquid media. It can be used for a long time in harsh corrosive environments without the need for paint maintenance.

Good insulation: The raw materials are alkali-free glass fiber yarn and resin, which are insulators, neither conducting electricity nor heat, and have high safety performance. They are suitable for use in places where insulation is required.

Excellent weather resistance: After adding UV absorbers and other substances, it has outstanding anti-aging performance, with a service life of over 20 years, and can maintain stable performance under different climatic conditions.

Strong designability: Specifications and shapes can be customized as needed, such as U-shaped, C-shaped, L-shaped, etc. Different colors can also be mixed according to requirements. The surface is highly smooth, beautiful and easy to maintain.

Specifications: The mainstream FRP channel steel models in the market mainly include 10, 12, 14, 16 and other specifications. Among them, 12 and 14 channel steels occupy a dominant position in the market due to their strong adaptability and good load-bearing capacity.

Application field

In the industrial field: It is often used as a structural support material for industrial plants and equipment brackets, and can also be used to manufacture industrial platforms and walkways. Its anti-slip surface and wear-resistant performance ensure the safety of workers during operations.

In the field of architecture: It can be used for the decoration and envelope structure of buildings, and its rich color and surface treatment options can meet different design requirements. In addition, it can also be made into FRP grating and used for stairs, platforms and manhole covers, etc.

In the field of chemical engineering: Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, it is widely used in corrosive environments such as chemical engineering, Marine engineering, and sewage treatment, and can be used as pipe supports, equipment frames, etc.

In the power field: Due to its excellent insulation property, FRP channel steel is often used for the supports and cross-arms of power equipment, effectively ensuring the safe operation of power facilities.

The product is made by using continuous glass fiber directional layup and is once solidified through the pultrusion process. It is completely dense without any layering. It has a standard U-shaped symmetrical cross-section, with uniform thickness of the web and flange. It can be customized with different slot widths, depths, and wall thicknesses as per requirements. The edge of the slot is smooth without burrs. The length can be customized as needed. It can be combined with various connection methods such as bolts and adhesives. The structural connection is firm, and it will not deform under long-term load or have stress concentration.
