Production process
It is usually made by combining alkali-free and untwisted glass fibers into roving yarns, warping them, impregnating them with polyester resin or epoxy resin, and then forming them through a continuous drawing process and curing them by heating.
Characteristics
Lightweight and high strength: Its density is only about 1/4 of that of steel, and its specific gravity is approximately 1.8. However, its tensile strength can reach 150-300 mpa, and its flexural strength is 200-300 mpa. Its strength is comparable to that of steel, and it has a low deformation rate, ensuring stable construction of structures.
Corrosion resistance: Made of a combination of glass fiber and resin, it has extremely high corrosion resistance, does not rust, mold or decay, and can withstand the corrosion of various gaseous and liquid media. It can be used for a long time in harsh corrosive environments without the need for paint maintenance.
Good insulation: The raw materials are alkali-free glass fiber yarn and resin, which are insulators, neither conducting electricity nor heat, and have high safety performance. They are suitable for use in places where insulation is required.
Excellent weather resistance: After adding UV absorbers and other substances, it has outstanding anti-aging performance, with a service life of over 20 years, and can maintain stable performance under different climatic conditions.
