Basic information
Definition: The cross-section is in the shape of a right-angle "L", composed of glass fiber and resin (such as polyester resin, epoxy resin). Its function is similar to that of traditional metal Angle steel, but it has the unique advantages of fiberglass reinforced plastic materials.
Production process: The mainstream method is pultrusion molding, and the process is as follows:
The glass fiber roving is evenly impregnated with resin through the traction device.
The impregnated fiber bundles enter the "L" -shaped cross-section mold and are heated and solidified to form.
Continuous pultrusion and cutting into the required length eventually form FRP Angle steel of uniform specifications.
Core performance characteristics
Lightweight and high strength: Its density is only 1/4 to 1/5 that of steel, making it light in weight and easy to handle and install. The tensile strength can reach 150-300 mpa, and the bending strength is approximately 200-300 mpa. It can be used to replace steel for supporting medium and small-sized structures.
